What is the deal with bed sizes on TV. I always hear in real life everyone always says they have a king or California king but on TV on shows with all of these “rich” people they all have double beds. What is that about? On shows like Gossip Girl where everyone is as rich as can be their beds always look so small. I get in shows when the actors are teens but in adult hood it makes no sense. Even in the original 90210. It only struck me recently that every time I see a bed it seems to be a full or worse a twin!!! Unless on camera unlike adding 10lbs on people it makes all beds look like they are doubles I am just plain confused.
I know you are probably thinking who cares? Why is this even important but I am wondering if these people can afford such high end fashions and we are trying to emulate their very being does that mean that double beds are the coolest of the cool? Are bigger beds uncouth? That makes me feel super awesome because I refuse to spend that kind of money on a mattress the size of a small galaxy but on television in the days of product placement why hasn’t Sealy or Sleep Number jumped on the bandwagon? Is that not something that happens? I have seen some super sad blatant product placement on shows before why are mattresses off the list? Maybe I am the only one who notices I guess but it is just weird to me when in all shows everyone seems to have so much money and the best of everything why they all aren’t sleeping on the biggest beds known to man. I mean teens are running around in Louboutin’s, dogs have YSL accessories and no one ever has money issues on TV but everyone squeezes in tiny beds. I mean even on Friends when they had those dope apartments that were way to expensive especially when some one was always out of work they even had double beds? The only place
