Crest White Strips vs. CVS Brand

CVS Dissolving Whitening Strips

I purchased CVS White Strips a few months ago in order to save some money. I have been using Crest White Strips for years and have been completely satisfied but they are a little pricey. I had always been told that the store brand products are the same as the name brand they just have the store name on it and are cheaper. I have to say that I love CVS. I have been a loyal customer for as long as I can remember. I assumed their brand whitening strips would be just as good as Crests’. I was horribly mistaken. I used the strips the first time and they were fine, no problems at all however I didn’t feel them “working” like I do Crest brand. The strips are a different size and smaller then the Crest ones but that was sort of to be expected, I assumed anyway. The texture is different  for the CVS brand and I thought I was putting paper on my teeth but eventually I got them to stick to my teeth. I generally try to do the whitening once or twice a week but I slacked a little recently. Over this last weekend I decided it was time  to get on the whitening ball.  Needless to say I went through 8 different strips trying to get them to stick to my teeth and eventually gave up. They would not stick to my teeth for anything. I tried wetting the strips, sucking on them, holding them there, dried off my teeth, you name it. I even flipped the strip over thinking maybe i had the wrong side.  The strips either rip the at the top of the strip when opening the package or the entire thing doesn’t come off of the backing or usually the paper backing comes off with it. I was beyond frustrated. It shouldn’t be that difficult to use. I was seriously furious.

I have been using Crest White Strips since I first heard of their existence. I have tried plenty of other whitening products and none have ever worked as well. Crest White Strips are quick, easy to use and you can see/feel results. Now paying extra for Crest brand doesn’t seem like a big deal. I have never once actually had an issue with Crest White Strips in all of the years I have been using them. I really was just trying to save a little money.
CVS has made sure I won’t consider buying store brand items for a long time. I got so angry at the CVS strips I was considering not going back to CVS again. I am that kind of shopper. There is no reason I should have had to try 8 different strips and not even 1 worked properly.
Have you used either Crest White Strips or CVS brand strips? Have you had an issue with either? Let me know! Maybe we can help CVS improve their product.
