In the on going battle between cellulite and I (clearly cellulite is the victor 9 times out of 10) I have developed a little mantra that seems to be working…well at least for the past two days. I generally abuse myself by working out while watching supremely skinny and super hot people to depress myself into working out longer. As of late when I feel a snacking sesh or “fat” behavior about to be take me over I say to myself WWHD? What Would A Hottie Do? A hottie wouldn’t eat those fries, That hottie wouldn’t do that, A hottie will not snack in between meals because they are bored, A hottie would work out just 5 more minutes to burn those extra calories.
This is the one time in my life I would like to give thanks to the superficial people of the world for setting the standard to what is considered beautiful. Now, I’m not saying skinny is the ultimate but in shape and healthy is and if I can use my selfconsiousness to help me avoid doing what I know is wrong and stick to my diet I really don’t see anything wrong with it. You can envision your fave fitness guru sitting next to you as you are about to put that cookie in your mouth. You know what they would say. Since Monday everytime I want to cheat or workout a little less I immediatly say to myself WWHD? and imagine Johnny Depp watching me from across the room, would I nibble on that needless chip? If Coco Chanel were here she would trade me that chip for a ciggy! So maybe this is how the ultra skinny or in shape maintain. They put the fear of fat in themselves and eventually avoid the cheating all together. I know every regime says not to deny yourself or it is ok to indulge once in a while but in reality do you ever see the ultra chic indulging in anything besides drinkies? No! Do you see the super skinny outside of some photo shoot or PR stunt indulging in crap food? NO! So maybe they have the right idea. I’m not advocating starving yourself or never indulging but keep in mind WWHD? If you want to indulge in something that you have had a million times or is readily available then remind yourself you can always have it at another time, you don’t need it right now. It can teach you control which is something I have never possessed much of but since using WWHD I have been doing better than usual so I suggest you try it!
